What is included in the log cabin kit?
The preliminary design includes visualization of the house from different angles, which allows you to assess its appearance and composition. The project also presents facades with the dimensions of windows, doors and openings, which provides a clear idea of the location of the elements. The section of the house complements the general view, showing the internal structure and location of the floors.
Floor plans contain the internal dimensions of the premises, which allows you to assess their area and functional organization. Such a comprehensive approach provides a complete picture of the future house and is the basis for further stages of design and construction.
The first step in the processing of logs is to remove the bark, and then the thin cambium layer – the underlying layer located between the bark and the wood. This ensures better penetration of the antiseptic and improves the protection of the wood from rot and pests.
Next, all logs are treated with Remmers water-based antiseptic. This stage plays a key role in protecting the wood from various harmful factors, such as fungi, mold and insects, and extends its service life.
Other lumber used in the construction is treated with bio-fire protection. This process provides additional protection against fire, which is an important aspect of safety when building a house.
Such a comprehensive approach to material processing ensures not only the durability and reliability of your house, but also its safety and preservation for many years.
Our walls are made of logs with an average diameter of 28 cm to 42 cm. However, the exact diameter of each log is selected individually for each project. We take into account the specifics of the project, customer requirements and other factors to ensure optimal compliance with needs and expectations.
We work only with high-quality logs that have the necessary strength and stability. This allows us to create walls that are not only beautiful and aesthetic, but also provide reliable protection and comfort for your home for many years.
The use of beams from logs and lags with specified parameters provides a strong structure for your log house. The beams have an optimal diameter and are located in increments of 1500 mm, which ensures uniform distribution of loads. Lags with a cross section of 50×150 mm are installed in increments of 500 mm, providing reliable support for the floors.
A rough floor 40 mm thick serves as a temporary coating until the finishing layer is laid, protecting the floors from damage. Together, these elements create a strong and reliable structure for your future home.
To ensure effective thermal insulation between the logs, we use sheep wool with the addition of polyester. This material has a high thermal insulation capacity and is able to retain heat in the room, which provides a comfortable microclimate inside the house.
Additionally, to ensure a tight fit of the insulation to the logs and eliminate the possibility of drafts, we use a polypropylene seal, which is laid along the entire length of the longitudinal groove. This seal ensures the tightness of the structure and helps to retain heat inside the room.
This combination of materials guarantees not only effective insulation of your home, but also creates an additional level of protection against the penetration of cold and moisture, providing comfort and coziness in your home.
We use a Post and Beam roof construction system, which includes vertical posts and horizontal running beams. This type of construction does not shrink, which ensures stability and reliability over time. The roof gables are never made of logs, which is standard practice. This ensures the stability of the structure and maintains its aesthetic appearance for many years.
When designing each type of roof, we calculate the cross-section of the rafters to ensure the necessary strength and stability of the structure. For laying natural tiles, we use freshly sawn boards measuring 50×200 mm. The pitch between the rafters is 600 mm. This provides optimal support and load distribution across the entire roof area, which is an important aspect for the durability and reliability of your roofing.
At our production site, we prepare all openings for the installation of windows and doors. This includes cutting a groove for the guide bar and preparing a place for cashing. These works are carried out during the construction phase of our site, which ensures that all elements are ready for installation at the installation site. This approach allows you to optimize the construction process and ensure the accuracy and quality of the installation of windows and doors in your future home.
Before the stage of dismantling the log house, taking into account the availability of an electrification plan, we drill holes for laying wires in the corrugation. This allows you to competently plan and foresee the distribution of electrical wires in advance, ensuring optimal placement and safety of the electrical system in your future home. This approach avoids the need to make changes to the design after construction is completed and ensures the efficiency and accuracy of laying electrical wiring.
The delivery set includes all the necessary consumables for installation, such as self-tapping screws, shrink bolts and anchors. These materials are provided in sufficient quantities to complete the installation work, ensuring the convenience and efficiency of the log house assembly process. Such a comprehensive approach avoids the need for additional purchases and ensures readiness for all stages of building your house.
After dismantling the log house on our site and insulating all longitudinal grooves, we assemble the house using a truck crane. Typically, this process takes from 3 to 6 days, depending on the scope of construction. It is important to note that the delivery and services of the truck crane are paid by the customer. This approach allows for efficient and quick assembly of the house on the construction site, ensuring accuracy and quality of installation.
What more can we do?
A wooden rafter system made of logs with a diameter of 24-26 cm gives your house not only additional reliability, but also aesthetic appeal. This type of rafter system provides a solid foundation for the roof and additional support for the entire structure.
In addition, the use of logs of this diameter gives the house a unique appearance, adding to it a unique character and charm. Thus, a wooden rafter system is not only a functional element of the structure, but also an important architectural detail that gives your house a special look and style.
Our construction technology creates gables from the frame, which eliminates shrinkage and allows you to make the log house more airtight and energy-efficient. We also carry out finishing both inside and outside of all frame elements.
This approach provides not only additional thermal insulation and protection against moisture penetration, but also gives your house an aesthetic and finished appearance. Thus, we strive to create durable and comfortable housing that combines high technical characteristics with attractive design.
We install casing boxes with windows or doors, as well as cashing in accordance with Canadian standards and taking into account the shrinkage of the log house. This means that our specialists ensure the correct placement and fastening of window and door elements, taking into account the peculiarities of log shrinkage.
This approach not only guarantees the aesthetic appearance and proper functioning of windows and doors, but also ensures the safety and durability of the entire structure of the house as a whole.
We offer services for internal and external sanding of logs with subsequent painting. Each stage includes two layers of sanding and two layers of painting. This process not only provides your home with an attractive appearance, but also significantly increases its durability.
Thanks to high-quality preparation and painting, we ensure protection of wood from moisture, ultraviolet rays and other negative environmental factors. Thus, your home not only acquires a beautiful appearance, but also retains its attractiveness and quality for many years to come.
We provide roofing and insulation installation services using all necessary technological stages, including sealing and compliance with modern standards. Our team of specialists provides high-quality installation of roofing materials, as well as professional insulation, which guarantees effective protection of your home from external influences and provides a comfortable interior space.
We adhere to modern technologies and best practices in the field of roofing and insulation installation to ensure high quality work and full satisfaction of the needs of our customers.
Making a staircase in a log house is one of the most difficult stages, requiring a professional approach and taking into account the peculiarities of shrinkage in a log house.
